Bula Family!
In Fijian, Bula means Hello! Manuel and I have an opportunity to go with our church's college group, LIFE, on a trip to Fiji to spend time with local churches, helping reach out to the community in order to bring them medical care and Jesus. Wherever Jesus went he met needs. When he taught he fed people to meet their need of hunger, when he went through cities, he healed people to show that he had not only power, but compassion. When we go to foriegn countries, we want to practically meet needs in order to show people who Jesus really is. In Fiji that need is medical clinics that we'll help participate in giving glasses so people who can't see will finally be able to read the Bible. We'll meet needs this way, in order to have an opportunity to work with churches in order to teach kids and adults alike about the God who came not only to heal eyes, but lives.
We'll need some HUGE support for this trip. We can't make it on our own, so please pray that God gives us favor with our bosses, so we can get time off. Please also pray that God will provided the money for us to go. Its $2,500 per person to go, and since we'll both be going, it'll be $5,000.
If God lays on your heart to do more than pray and you feel you'd like to give money, please make checks (which are tax-deductible) out to Hillside Christian Center and send it to 100 Anderson Rd. Napa, CA 94558. Please also include a slip of paper with our names, Manny and Angie Coelho, in the envelope as well.
We love you! Thank you so much for all your prayers already.
